If you are struggling to waist hoop, then this is the one for you. We call it the YES (Or we like to say YAS!) Hoop, because we hear hoopers shout YAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSS! when they find they can hoop after all. All that was needed was a slightly bigger, heavier hoop.
The YES! Hoop is 42" (107 cm) in diameter and made with 20mm MDPE blue or black tubing with a push button so it coils down for easy transportation. Choose from either a single or double spiral grip tape (see beginner hoops) or ‘naked’ untaped.
Choose either a single or a double spiral of grip tape. A single spiral is sufficient to help the hoop from slipping downwards, but an additional spiral gives extra grip and a more colourful Beginner Hoop.

It’s important to get your hula hoop size and weight right for a successful hooping experience!
As a general rule of thumb, beginners will want a hoop with a diameter measuring at least from the floor to the belly button, but more importantly need a good amount of space around the waist.
We have found that a 42" (approx. 107cm) diameter hoop weighing approximately 550-600g is spot on for most people who are bigger bodied. Hoops are made for different shaped bodies.

Our Beginner hoop is a great choice if you are just starting out. Whether you want to hoop for fitness or fun, you will get both with this hoop. It is the perfect size and weight to challenge your core. It is also invaluable if you are learning other on-body moves such as shoulder, chest and leg hooping and we continue to use these hoops for performing and teaching!
It comes naked with a push-button connector so it coils down for travel.
LOVE YOUR COIL DOWN HOOP – CARE ADVICE
Your MDPE hoop will arrive coiled down so release it from its packaging as soon as possible to allow it to regain its original form. Your hoop should only be left coiled down for the shortest possible time. Only coil down to about two thirds its size and use tape or cable ties to secure. Coiling your hoop down to half its size and re-connecting it will put too much strain on the material and connector which may result in damage.
STORING YOUR HOOP
- Try to store your hoop flat.
- Keep at room temperature.
- Or hang up on a hook! Hoops left standing end up going out of shape due to gravity.
